An Old Prophet’s Last Sermon
We conclude our study of the life of Samuel today in chapter 12. We thank Pastor Hefti for his message.
What to Do?
What does God want me to do next? Do you struggle with this question? Believe it or not, I don’t think this is a helpful question to ask yourself. I believe this question is flawed from the start and is setting yourself up to fail. Why? Let’s take a look at King Saul and find out. We continue our study of the book of 1st Samuel today in chapter 11.
A Better Kingdom
Saul immediately failed expectations when he was anointed king of Israel. Politicians and politics regularly fail our expectations; this is why our primary identity is not in any political party, and our primary hope is not in a candidate or elected official. Our identity is in Christ. Our hope is in Christ. We continue our study today of the book of first Samuel in chapter 9 and 10 today.
Unlikely Justice
Be careful what you ask for; you just might get it, especially justice. God’s justice is to punish Christ. Our study of the book of 1st Samuel continues today in chapter 8.
