Rejected?

In our Gospel account we see the doubts John the Baptist had about Jesus in a dark hour of his life. The Israelites also had doubts about God’s promises in Isaiah’s day. We have our doubts today as well. Solution? Go to God anyway just as John the Baptist did. We continue our study of the book of Isaiah today in chapter 41.

Comfort My People

So many need comfort. What gets in the way? Self-righteousness? despair? Isaiah has comfort for them; Christians have comfort for them. We continue our study of the book of Isaiah 40:1-11.

Preparing for Christmas?

If we do Christmas every year, why do we need to make a deliberate effort to prepare our hearts for it? What does Jesus coming in the manger mean for my own prayer, repentance, and daily walk with God?  Begin a new study of the book of Isaiah today in 40:12–31.

Repentance Is a Safe Place

Is David begging in this psalm for forgiveness? Do you need to beg for forgiveness? We continue our study of Psalms today with Psalm 6, our first penitential psalm.

Who Can Show Me Any Good

David quotes a saying of despair among his followers when he says “Who can show us any good?” The cause for despair is people, even friends, attacking him verbally and scheming to physically. Attacking me is attacking God! This is David’s claim. Can you claim the same? Listen to today’s message to find the answer. Our study of the book of Psalms continues today in Psalm 4.

Now What?

Our continuing study of the book of Psalms is today in Psalm 4. We thank Pastor Hefti for his monthly message.

Thrive Like a Tree

Today we begin our study of the book of Psalms in the coming months. We begin today with Psalm 1. What does it mean to have a stubborn faith? What is a stubborn faith mean for growth in faith?
